Lower watercourse at So Lo Pun is an Ecologically Important Stream (EIS)

The lower watercourse at So Lo Pun is classified by AFCD as an Ecologically Important Stream (EIS):

In a briefing to the Legislative Council Panel on Environmental Affairs  by EPD in July 2006 on the Conservation of Natural Streams and Rivers in Hong Kong, it was stated:

“In March 2005, ETWB issued Technical Circular (Works) No. 5/2005 to provide a comprehensive administrative framework to better protect natural streams or rivers from the impacts of government works projects and private developments, including giving priority to the protection of 33 ecologically important streams and rivers”.
